How to wash your suit
The answer is, you don't! NEVER wash your suit.
Leave it to the professional and have it dry cleaned. Remember, dry clean them once, maximum twice a year. The chemical involved in dry cleaning can reduce the lifespan of your suit.
If you notice anything that shouldn’t be on your suit, spot clean the affected area with a cold, damp washcloth and the stain should come out with ease. Dry cleaning your suit should be your last resort, save it for some major emergencies.
You should hang your suit in a well-ventilated area for at least 2 days after you wear it. This helps remove any unpleasant odour and give your suit some time to rest so it can return to its natural shape, thus maximising its wear.
This tip works especially well if your suit is made from natural fabrics. All suits at The Lancelot are made from natural fabrics such as wool and cupro.
